Stage 1:
Know exactly what you need
What is the syllabus? Why not obtain a copy from you teacher or Examination Board. How I the course examined Coursework? Exams--What will they look like?

You must know what is required of you because each Board will have a different focus.

You do know…
The best way to find what you should be doing for the exam is from the syllabus and last years examiner report.

Set out your plan based on the weighting attached by the content of the syllabus. Should you find something difficult ask your tutor for help--that is what they are for.

The examiners reports will also provide an insight into the Examiners pet hates and common problems that candidates fall into. Common mistakes get repeated year after year!

Review past papers as they are the main method of finding about your paper.

Time yourself against the clock for exam style questions and when you think you are ready do past papers in time

Exam timetable--Construct a chart of where and when your exams are to take place.
Stage 2:

How long have you got?
Make sure you allow plenty of time for revision--this should start at Easter by the latest.

If you are like many students and have left things later than ideal--never mind! You will do just as well with some intensive revision. Do not panic as this will not help.
